The article discusses poor performance status (PS) in elderly patients with aggressive B cell lymphomas can benefit from intensive chemotherapy. It states that some predictors of toxicity enable toxicity to be avoided in a dying patient, but data are sparse regarding intensively treated aggressive B cell lymphoma in elderly patients with very poor PS.
