The article discusses a court case wherein a company that sells and produces karaoke records, Sybersound Records Inc., filed a lawsuit against its karaoke record-maker competitor for selling records that had exclusive right in the U.S. It states that Sybersound accused the defendants of violating the Lanham Act. It mentions that the Ninth Circuit supported the district court's decision to reject Sybersound's non-copyright claims. It adds that the court rejected the Lanham Act claims.
