- Authors
Clarke, David B.
- Abstract
The article discusses French sociologist and philosopher Jean Baudrillard's work in relation to films, including the 1982 Ridley Scott science-fiction film "Blade Runner" and Henrik Galeen's 1926 film "The Student of Prague." The author discusses the relationship of Baudrillard's work on psychoanalysis to the films. Concerned with the nature of reality in much of his work, Baudrillard preferred photography to film, believing photographic images to be more genuine.
