- Abstract
An editorial on Cauda equina syndrome (CES) is presented, which is a complication of disc herniation and sometimes of low back surgery. It discuses various types of CES, symptoms and risk factors associated to them and how they should be treated. It also discusses surgery options available for treating CES. It also states that CES is the one of the major causes of litigation in the National Health Service (NHS).
