- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which measured the time required for the subterranean termite Reticulitermes speratus kyushuensis (Isoptera: Rhinotermitidae) to pass through tunnels with different curvatures. The study found that tunnel with curvatures caused the subterranean termite to do biased walking and zigzag walking. It showed that zigzag motion resulted to longer walking distance compared to biased walking.
