- Abstract
The article offers information on the development of a model for Medicaid Managed Care (MMC) enacted by Kentucky in 2021 designed to avoid a complete reversal of the Medicaid drug benefit from an MMC model to a purely Medicaid fee-for-service (FFS) model. Topics covered include how the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) reform legislation disrupted the vertically aligned PBM industry, a summary of the PBM reform elements, and the goal of the model to preserve the intent of the 340B program.
