- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. Supreme Court case Baze v. Rees which deals with the violation of the Eighth Amendment's Cruel and Unusual Punishments Clause. Topics discussed include issues associated with the selection and qualifications of the execution team to the involvement of physicians in the execution process to the formula developed for an injection; risk of maladministration of the drug combination; and insufficient levels of sodium thiopental in the lethal injection.
