- Title
MRSA Carriers Linked to Outbreaks Can Be Decolonized Successfully.
- Abstract
The article provides information on a new consensus document recommending screening healthcare personnel (HCP) for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) if they are linked to a cluster of MRSA infections. Screening can be an essential part of outbreak investigations, particularly when HCP are associated with a clonal cluster of MRSA cases, and decolonization measures may be necessary to control ongoing outbreaks.
