- Abstract
The article focuses on Bond yields in the U.S. remain near historic lows, with annual yields on 10-year United States Treasury bonds at about 1.6 percent in May 202. Topics discussed include this is nowhere close to the 1970–2020 average bond yield of 6.2 percent; and the situation looks even worse in real terms, with inflation-adjusted yields for most of 2020 in negative territory compared to the longer-term average of about 2.4 percent.
