- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 25 year-old woman with diffuse vesicular lesions along with history of atopic dermatitis with high levels of antibodies for herpes simplex virus. Topics discussed include diagnosed with eczema herpeticum in differential diagnosis, she got treatment as acyclovir intravenously which led to recovery of patient, and acyclovir, famciclovir and valacyclovir have been used in first trimester of pregnancy for infections caused by herpes simplex virus.
