- Title
Dairy research: "Real" science or marketing?
- Authors
Collier, Roger
- Abstract
The article reports on the announcement of the Canadian Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food about the federal funding for dairy research in the country. Anna Pippus, director of farmed animal advocacy for Animal Justice, expressed her disagreement with the statements of Minister Lawrence MacAulay and Wally Smith, president of Dairy Farmers of Canada. According to Pippus, the goal of the research funding was not to conduct real scientific research but for marketing's sake.
