The article reports developments in Australia's retirement income system as of mid-2016, particularly the recommendation by a Senate committee of inquiry that employers should be mandated to pay superannuation benefits to part time and casual employees. The committee also called for the amendment of the Sex Discrimination Act and the retention of the Low Income Superannuation Contribution.
