- Authors
Westerway, S.C.
- Abstract
This article discusses a survey conducted among ultrasound practitioners to assess their compliance with recommended cleaning methods for ultrasound transducers. The survey found that a significant number of practitioners did not follow proper cleaning protocols, with 36.1% failing to use high-level disinfection for endocavity transducers and 69.5% not reprocessing surface transducers with low-level disinfection. The results highlight the need for improved education and assistance in ensuring correct transducer reprocessing.
