- Abstract
This article discusses a case of a low-grade, well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor originating from the skin. The patient, a 72-year-old man, presented with a reddish tumor on his sternal region. The tumor was treated with radiotherapy and later underwent Mohs micrographic surgery. Histopathology revealed two types of tumor cells, with one type invading the epidermis in a pagetoid growth pattern. The tumor was diagnosed as a low-grade well-differentiated cutaneous neuroendocrine tumor. The article also discusses the nomenclature and diagnostic criteria for this type of tumor, as well as its clinical presentation, histopathological features, and differential diagnoses.
