Abstract
The article focuses on a study which revealed that wild-born bonobos at the Lola ya Bonobo sanctuary in the Democratic Republic of Congo help strangers without being asked. Topics covered include experiment which found that bonobos will help a stranger get food even without immediate payback, the finding that bonobos offered help and did not wait to be asked for help, and the contagiousness of yawning among bonobos.
