- Title
NEW MARYLAND LAW TO BRING PAINTCARE PROGRAM TO STATE.
- Abstract
Maryland has passed a new law that will bring the PaintCare program to the state, allowing households and businesses to recycle their leftover paint. The program is expected to begin operations in 2026 and will offer over 100 paint drop-off sites throughout the state. There will be no cost to individuals or businesses when dropping off their leftover paint for recycling, as the program will be funded by a small fee added to the purchase price of new paint. Maryland is the 12th state to adopt this program, which is operated by PaintCare, a nonprofit organization created by the paint industry.
