- Abstract
(1 - I i )*100% Fieller's confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using Eq. 7 taken from a modern and concise description of this method in the freely available open access paper by Beyene (2005), which is suitable for swiftly understanding how to practically apply the Fieller's method. We noticed that the discrepancies between explicitly calculated (1 - I i )*100% Fieller's confidence intervals, using the appropriate values directly, and the corresponding confidence intervals obtained with the delta-method, became larger as the confidence interval coverage level increased.
