- Abstract
The article titled "Response to Letters to the Editor regarding 'Analysis of the factors contributing to residual weakness after sugammadex administration in pediatric patients under 2 years of age'" acknowledges and appreciates the feedback received from Nhan et al and Faulk et al regarding their previous article. The authors aim to stimulate further discussion and research on the management of paralytic administration, neuromuscular blockade monitoring, and reversal in pediatric patients. They agree with the reviewers that the inconsistent use of neuromuscular blockade monitoring is a significant flaw in current practice and emphasize the need for standardization. The authors also acknowledge the uncertainty surrounding optimal management in this patient population and suggest future studies, including a propensity score matched case-control study design, to address these concerns.
