- Abstract
The article presents an evaluation design and strategy for preservice preparation for elementary school science teachers in the U.S. Five evaluation dimensions are discussed which include: population definition, academic concerns, implementation, program team functioning, and attitudes. The authors suggest that the proposed evaluation design might help describe the efficacy of a program for preservice elementary teacher preparation. In addition, the design is thought to contribute the knowledge base and to the understanding of the problems linked with such teacher training program.
