- Abstract
Summarizes the February 21, 2006 joint epidemiologic and environmental investigation conducted by local, state and federal public health, animal health, and law enforcement authorities in Pennsylvania and New York City to determine the source of anthrax exposure and identify other persons who were potentially at risk. Origin of the investigation; Actions taken to confirm the hypothesis that the primary source of exposure to aerosolized Bacillus anthracis spores occurred in the workspace; Safest way to eliminate risk for inhalation anthrax from animal hides or hair.
