- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing relating to the regulation of intellectual property. The case United States v. American Society of Composers and Publishers is discussed, regarding performance rights licenses and copyright protection. The case Microsoft v. BEC Computer Co. is discussed, regarding Microsoft's license arrangements and royalty agreements. The case RE-ALCO Industries v. National Center for Health Education is also discussed, involving a copyrighted product determined not to be a distinct product since substitutes were readily available.
