- Abstract
To observe the early intervention effect of Baogan Granules on alcoholic liver injury in rats. 144 rats were randomly divided into blank group, model group, biphenyl group, Baogan granules low, medium and high dose groups. After 1 h of administration, except for the blank group, the other groups were given 50% ethanol by gavage at 10 mL/ kg, 50% ethanol was gavaged repeatedly 1 h later, and the blank group was gavaged with the same volume of distilled water for 6 days. On the day 2, 3, 4 and 6 of the experiment, 6 rats in each group were randomly killed, and blood was collected from abdominal aorta. The contents of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), total bilirubin ( TBIL), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 ( IL-6), α-glutathione S-transferase (α-GST), glutamate dehydrogenase (GLDH), arginase 1 (Arg-1) and purine nucleotide phosphorylase (PNP) in serum and the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver homogenate were determined. The results show that compared with blank group, the serum levels of AST, ALT, ALP, TBIL, TNF-α, IL-6, α-GST, GLDH, Arg-1 and PNP in model group are significantly increased (P < 0. 05, P < 0. 01), the level of MDA in liver tissue is significantly increased, and the level of SOD is significantly decreased (P < 0. 05, P < 0. 01). Compared with model group, Baogan Granules can significantly reduce the serum levels of AST, ALT, TBIL, ALP, TNF-α, IL-6, α-GST, GLDH, Arg-1, PNP (P < 0. 05, P < 0. 01). The activity of SOD in liver tissues increases and the content of MDA decreases (P < 0. 05, P < 0. 01). Baogan granules has a good effect on liver protection in the early intervention of alcoholic liver injury in rats.
