- Abstract
Drug crimes have the characteristic of easily inducing violent crimes, and the triggering effect of drug crimes on their secondary crimes is one of the important research contents in this field. Introducing the DO index of industrial agglomeration degree based on distance measurement in the field of economics, focusing on drug crimes and their secondary crimes in a coastal T City from 2018 to 2019, and the symbiotic relationship between the two types of crimes was digitized. Research has shown that drug crimes and four types of secondary crimes ( robbery, rape, dangerous driving, and intentional homicide) exhibit small-scale co-occurrence in space, and the degree of co-occurrence varies with distance. Under the influence of rational choice theory, it is mostly an inverted U-shaped relationship. The relationship between drug crimes and intentional harm crimes is randomly distributed in space, which is influenced by local customs and the special pharmacological properties of drugs. As a supplement to the theoretical spatial perspective of daily activities, the police can strengthen the control of relevant personnel within a 0. 48 km radius of drug crimes, so as to achieve effective control over secondary crimes that have a common relationship with them.
