- Abstract
The article focuses on the depiction of black characters in comic books and comic book movies. It talks about the character Ororo Munroe, or Storm, in the X-Men series of comic books and movies and comments on how in the movies her character doesn't have her background developed nearly to the same extent as white characters. It talks about the depiction of Black superheroes in the film "Black Panther" and suggests the depiction of the characters was meant to satisfy neoconservatives and whites.
