- Abstract
The article discusses the use of the BACnet computer network building automation protocol technology, developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), at the Gaithersburg, Maryland location of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The author provides information regarding the facilities and the challenges of climate control in a state-of-the-art research laboratory. The author concludes that the BACnet system meets all of these challenges.
