- Abstract
The article examines the impact of the "The Paris Review" interview on how the author is being viewed by the reader and explores the editorial process preceding its publication which will offer insight into the position of the author. It focuses on the period between 1953 and 1973 when the periodical was edited and produced from Paris, France. It says that the "The Paris Review" interview seemed to provide readers' growing interest for insights into the personality of the period's leading writers. Moreover, it states that the motivations behind the periodical interview series were both artistic and commercial.
