- Abstract
The possible existence of two types of delayed reactions to contact allergens was raised about 30 years ago. Nowadays, the dermal type of allergic contact dermatitis, is no longer considered in the major text books. A 43-year-old woman had a three year history of relapsing nodules and small plaques on her trunk. She had no other history of other skin disease or atopy. She had crythematous nodules and plaques on her trunk. Skin biopsy showed superficial and deep perivascular lymphohistiocytic infiltrates in the dermis.
