- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on drug discovery and development. AI-powered techniques are being used to analyze complex biomedical data and improve the efficiency of the drug discovery process. The article highlights advancements in target-based drug development, capturing the dynamic behavior of molecules, phenotypic drug discovery, automation of drug generation, and boosting drug development from a clinical perspective. While there are challenges in this field, AI-assisted drug development has the potential to improve access to new medicines. The research was supported by funding from the National Key R&D Program of China and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
