Neuroimaging: connecting the pixels.

- Abstract
The authors comment on a study which examined the relationship between gestational timing of brain lesions using brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography, by Himmelmann and Uvebrant, published within the issue. The study showed that children with basal ganglia lesions are more likely to have severe motor impairments. The authors urge researchers to combine neuroimaging tools with standardized measures of function to address the motor and non-motor manifestations of cerebral palsy.
