- Abstract
Surgical incision sites are potential immunocompromised districts The main pathogenesis revolves around chronic lymph stasis (both microscopic as well as clinically evident), herpetic infections, and all sorts of trauma ranging from the smallest ones like tattooing to burns and amputations.[[5]] These ICDs over a variable period of time become prone to dysimmune reactions, infections, and tumors. Trauma, including surgical incisions as seen in the cases exemplified here, can lead to locally abnormal lymph drainage that disturbs normal trafficking of immunocompetent cells.
