A Summary of the Report Of the Joint Commission On Mental Health of Children.
- Abstract
The article presents a summary report of the Joint Commission on Mental Health of Children. The report relates that the programs are intended to meet the needs of children and they should be assured of their basic rights which are to be wanted, to be born healthy, to live in healthy environment and to have continuous loving care and emotional skills. The commission presents several recommendation for child welfare. It recommends that Federal funds be provided for the establishment of a child advocacy system at every level of society. It also recommends the creation of a network of comprehensive, systematic services, and policies which will guarantee to every American the opportunity to develop his maximum potential.
