- Authors
Christofferson, Michael Scott
- Abstract
The article features François Furet, considered as the most influential historian of the French Revolution during his time. He was famous for his campaign against Marxisan social or Jacobian interpretation of the revolution in the country. His first work in Revolutionary historiography was "La Révolution française," which he co-wrote with Denis Richet. According to Furet, who was a former Communist, Revolutionary historiography was being corrupted to justify Communist politics.
