Marijuana and 10‐drink binges on the increase among young adults.
- Abstract
The Monitoring the Future (MTF) study released in August by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) found that marijuana use has reached historic highs among young adults ages 19 to 30 years old, with 29% using marijuana in the past 30 days, and 43% using it in the past year; 10.8% used it on a daily or near daily basis (more than 20 days in the past 30 days). The study uses self‐reports; most recent data is from 2021.
