An essay is presented which discusses the poem "Seed Catalogue" by Robert Kroetsch. Topics discussed include the question that Kroetsch addressed in his poem, the author's lack of personal connection in the focus of Kroetsch's poem, how he values the poem because it liberated the Canadian poetry and English-Canadian poets, the poem as a homage to the poetry in the niceties and Kroetsch's exploitation of the anticipated ordering of the catalogue.
