- Title
Estimating Treatment Effects Using Observational Data.
- Authors

- Abstract
This article presents the author's viewpoints on observational data and its usage in medical research. Although random clinical trials (RCTs) are clearly the best method for measuring treatment effects, the authors feel there is still a value in the real world experiences of observational data. RCTs are conducted under optimal medical conditions and may not reflect the effectiveness of a particular treatment within the more complicated conditions of normal practice. However, it is still necessary to account for selection bias through various statistical methods.
