- Abstract
This article must like intention know the theoretical-methodologic foundations the teaching of the Spanish language in the Costa Rican primary education, during the period of the present "Política Educativa Hacia el Siglo XXI" (educative policy towards century XXI, since 1995 to the date). For such effect the training programs of learning Spanish (1995, 2001 and 2005) and the official text books (series Hacia el Siglo XXI, 1995) are analyzed critically and it contributes with some ideas in order to invite to the reflection about the directives that receive the educators to make the planning of classroom work and consequently, to project an education and language model that allows the students to develop with greater effectiveness in different socio cultural fields.
