- Abstract
The article discusses the attempts of U.S legal system in providing the fair, just handling of Nazi-looted art cases. Topics discussed include a brief history of U.S. policies and guidelines regarding the restitution of Nazi-looted art, institutional apathy towards Nazi-looted art and a statute of limitations law enacted as a legislative reform. It mentions the Holocaust Victims Redress Act that emphasized government to undertake good faith efforts to promote the return of looted property.
