- Abstract
The author presents his opinion in the Supreme Court of Canada case Manitoba M&#33tis Federation Inc. v. Canada (Attorney General). Topics discussed include the implications of the Supreme Court case for both aboriginal persons and government, the land grant provision set out in the Manitoba Act 1870 in accordance with the honor of the Crown, and the duty of diligence and the reconciliation of pre-existing aboriginal societies with the assertion of Crown sovereignty.
