- Abstract
Manipulation of management before and after entry into feedlots and increased vaccination rates over recent years has assisted in reducing the presence of bovine respiratory disease in feedlot cattle, as well as reducing gastrointestinal infections in calves. In that study, 81/100 (81%) of I E. coli i were pan-susceptible to all antimicrobials tested and when resistance was observed in the I E. coli i or I Enterococcus i isolates assessed it was generally limited to older antimicrobials of limited human clinical significance.[9] Controlling bovine respiratory disease in feedlot cattle.
