- Abstract
The article discusses a split among the various U.S. Courts of Appeals in 2012 regarding the application of the preliminary injunction legal doctrine in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the case Winter v. Natural Resources Defense Council Inc. The U.S. federal government's request for a preliminary injunction to stop Arizona from enforcing portions of its immigration legislation known as the Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act is also addressed.
