- Title
Exxon Relocates Pipeline: Portion of Sublette Cutoff Saved!
- Abstract
The article presents information on Exxon pipelines that has been rerouted in an effort to halt the lines from running along the Sublette Cutoff. Exxon executive Frank S. Clark contacted the Oregon-California Trails Association (OCTA) to provide the news. Exxon made the decision to alter the path of their pipelines after receiving maps and an Environmental Impact Statement from the Denver, Colorado Bureau of Land Management that showed the route of the Sublette Cutoff trail. The article also reports that the Wyoming Outdoor Council has sought the help of the OCTA to protest Exxon's development in the state.
