- Abstract
Between the context of the celebrations of the may revolution (1810) and independence in the Congress of Tucumán (1816), the study of media and images and representations of women are crucial. In that sense, this research aims the systematic analysis of the Buenos Aires press from four key themes: its presence in the revolutionary concert and communication networks and public spaces of sociability, in the politicization of the population especially women as part of the interests of the State, the diffusion of various images of the education of the "fair sex" in that period of change; and the motivations of these printed by understanding the hypothetical representations of the "jacobinas of the revolution" and the search for political legitimacy in a revolutionary context.
