- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 19-year-old man with a sudden onset and increasing cough, shortness of breath, and vomiting. The patient had a history of infective endocarditis which is treated through aortic and mitral valve replacement with mechanical prosthesis. On transthoracic echocardiogram, it was shown that the patient has extreme mechanical aortic valve dehiscence. The systolic-diastolic rocking motion of the prosthesis was assessed with echocardiography and fluoroscopy.
