- Abstract
The article presents information on the efficiency of common law legal systems and the superiority of economic growth rates. A comparative study is conducted between the statute law and the common law. It mentions the need of minimizing transaction costs, the efficiency claims of common law, and the path dependence in standards. The importance of assessing the legal systems is also discussed.
