- Abstract
The article discusses the history of the periodical "The Asianadian: An Asian Canadian Magazine" from 1978 to 1985. Topics include the notion of an Asian Canadian social movement in relation to the Asian American movement and the magazine, the formation of the organization Chinese Canadian National Council (CCNC) in relation to the racist television news program "W5," and the relation of visual culture to Asians in Canada. The organization Asian Canadian Writers' Workshop (ACWW) is mentioned.
