- Abstract
The article discusses the study on the relationship of the principal's longevity in a school, years of experience in the position, educational level, efficacy and leadership behavior to the scores of first time takers on the Georgia High School Graduation test (GHSGT) and the possibility that these variables can predict GHSGT student scores. This study, which was done in line with the exposure to No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, used an instrumentation that utilized the Principal Demographic Information Questionnaire as the key aspect. Moreover, it explores the mixed-methods design of the study, using both qualitative and quantitative approach and the data collection and analysis. The role of principal efficacy in student achievement and its implications to the practice are explored.
