The Flawed Greatness of Huckleberry Finn.
- Authors
QUIRK, TOM
- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," by Mark Twain, is presented. The author comments on the perceived lack of plot in the text, noting that Twain perceived the work more as a narrative than a novel, and explains connections to the Biblical story of Noah found in chapter 9 of the book as a means to investigate the work's Christian aspects. The ways in which Twain's democratic sympathies play out in the text are also examined.
