- Abstract
The article discusses the measurement of research impact in bibliometrics, social media, and altmetrics. Topics include the traditional bibliometric analysis and peer review, the proposed combined bibliometric indicator to measure the impact of studies in the social sciences, and the high online visibility of articles. Also mentioned is the recommendation of San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment to eliminate the use of journal-based metrics.
