- Abstract
When it occurs in a lupus patient, palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia indicates a lupus flare. She was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) 15 years ago and remained very well with low-dose prednisone and azathioprine. Learning point for cliniciansPalmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia is a common side effect in patients taking several chemotherapeutic agents; however, it does not always happen in the context of chemotherapy.
