- Abstract
The article discusses about the poems of Frances Anne Kemble, depicting conventions of companionship. Topics of discussion includes the "Poems" depicts the poet's ideas around authenticity of the speech, draws on Kemble's distinctive ideas about how a person's speech can be authentic, "Record of a Girlhood" presents editing assertion of immediate reactions and slave plantation in "Journal of a Residence on a Georgian Plantation in 1838–1839.
